What Is a Complete AR-15 Upper Receiver?
A complete upper receiver is a crucial component of an AR-style firearm. It houses the barrel, upper receiver, rail handguard, muzzle device, gas block, gas tube, bolt carrier group, charging handle, and other essential parts. Essentially, it is the upper half of the firearm that attaches to the lower receiver.
Sometimes, the complete upper receiver can be sold as a partial kit, without the BCG and charging handle. When you purchase a BATTLEARMS® complete AR15 upper receiver, it comes pre-assembled and safety inspected, allowing for easy installation onto a compatible lower receiver.
Why Purchase a Complete Upper?
Complete upper receivers are available in various configurations to suit different shooting styles, calibers, and applications, including target shooting, hunting, and home defense. Upgrading to a complete upper can be a cost-effective way to enhance your firearm’s performance without needing to buy a whole new rifle.
Why Choose an AR-9?
The benefits include cost savings, as 9mm ammo is generally cheaper than rifle calibers like 223/5.56. Additionally, the lower recoil of 9mm makes the AR-9 easier to control and more comfortable, especially for beginners. It is quieter, easier to handle, and less prone to overpenetration compared to rifles, yet more accurate and stable than handguns. Overall, the AR-9 combines rifle stability with pistol versatility, making it well-suited for effective home defense.
